REV. FR. FRANKLIN PHILIP D”™SOUZA is a well-known and well-appreciated Catholic Charismatic Preacher in the Church of Karnataka. He has preached more than 1000 retreats around Karnataka, at Mumbai, Israel, Cyprus, and also in Gulf Countries. One can see a special touch of God in his life. He shares his experience that Lord Jesus has touched his life in the first year of his priesthood. Ever since he started proclaiming the “Word of God”, i.e., the message of Jesus with conviction.
He preaches at “Divine Retreat Centre”, Chalakudy, Kerala, “Renewal Retreat Centre (RRC)”, Bangalore, “Logos Retreat Centre”, Bangalore and Tabore Retreat Centre, Kalyan – Mumbai.
Thousands and thousands of young minds and hearts are touched by his preaching. Through his preaching, many souls have been saved. Many have found comfort and experienced the Love of Risen Lord Jesus. Many say that he is a “Power Filled Evangelist” in the Catholic Church.
He is the Founder and Director of “Jesus Touch” (YESU SPARSHA) Team, where he and Brother T.K. George work together.

Through his Kannada audio cassette “Holy Mass for the Sick”, kannada preaching “Devara Saajeeva Vaakya” and Konkani Preaching “Jivitache Utaar” and “Jivitachi Zhor” also in English “Living Waters” he has touched thousands of Kannada/Konkani/English speaking souls.
He also enacted in 4 Spiritual DVD”™s which is directed by Bro.T.K.George. they are: Yesusparsha I, II, Ba Yesuvalli Ba,Mahimeya Raja Yesu and Jezu Mhujo Rokxok.
As a Priest
He was ordained as a priest for the Diocese of Shimoga on 10th May 1999 by Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, the then Bishop of Belgaum, now the Archbishop of Bangalore.
From 1999 to 2005, he served the diocese at various capacities.
First of all as an assistant Pastor at Infant Jesus Shrine, Challakere from1999- 2001.
From there, he was promoted Parish Priest of Our Lady of Victories Church at Nagar (Hosa Nagar Taluk). At the same time, he also became the Youth Director of the Diocese, the youngest in India. i.e., the Director of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) and also for Young Christian Students (YCS) and Young Student Movement (YSM) from 2001 – 2003.
In the mean time, he obtained Master’s Degree in Arts (M.A. in History) form Mysore University. From June 2003 to May 2005, he was the staff member of St. Peter’s Pontifical Seminary, Bangalore, where he studied M.TH. in Biblical Theology.
From June 2005 onwards, he has been appointed as Youth Director i.e., the Director for Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) and also for Young Christian Students (YCS) and Young Student Movement (YSM) as well as Charismatic Retreat Director of Shimoga Diocese. Youth apostolate is known as YUVA MITRA and Charismatic services apostolate is known as JEEVODAYA.
From December 2005 onwards, he has been appointed by the Arch-Bishop of Bangalore as the JOINT SECRETARY for the YOUTH COMMISSION of KARNATAKA REGION.
From August 2008 onwards, he has been appointed as Regional Director of ICYM, Youth Commission by the Arch-Bishop of Bangalore. He organized many leadership programs as well as personality development trainings for youth. In 2010 mega Regional Youth Convention was organized at Bellary where 600 youth from 13 diocese of Karnataka were gathered.
He also rendered his service for the prisoners of Central Jail, Bangalore. He is the member of PMI (Prison Ministry of India).
May 2011 Catholic Bishops Conference of India (CBCI) standing committee appointed him as Executive Secretary for the CBCI Office for Youth, as well as ICYM National Youth Director. Its headquarters is in New Delhi.
Being in youth ministry for ten years he has gained lot of experience to motivate the youth as well as people. He has taken part in three world Youth Days; Toronto in 2002, Sydney in 2009, Madrid in 2011
